Sparados will revolutionize SME business payments management

Benjamin Franklin, one of the founding fathers of the United States, warned: watch out for small expenses. A small leak can sink a large ship. Small and medium-sized entrepreneurs facing such a risk have just been helped by Sparados - a platform for managing company expenses.

Until now, this type of service was only available to large companies and corporations, a. o. due to its high cost. Sparados wants to democratize accessibility by focusing on the needs of small and medium-sized enterprises. And all this at a price far below the equivalent of a $100 bill with the face of the aforementioned Franklin.

What is Sparados, really?

- Sparado in Esperanto means savings. We allow entrepreneurs to save time and money by automating the settlement of business expenses. We eliminate the loss of time associated with waiting for a traditional payment card to be issued and the burden of settling business expenses - explains Grzegorz Sudacki, President and one of the company's shareholders.

The heart of Spardos is a mobile app available on Android and iOS. Thanks to it, the employee has access to a virtual payment card, which takes several seconds to issue. The card is available from your Apple Pay or Google Pay wallet. The administrator - e.g. an employee of the HR or accounting department, determines the limit for a given card and can increase, decrease or refresh it at any time. There are at least several advantages of this solution:

- This eliminates the need to pay advances on business expenses.

- There is no need to involve the employee's private funds or a long wait for a traditional plastic card to be issued by the bank maintaining the company account.

- It also gives full flexibility in managing payments from the business wallet. Each company will be able to ultimately define its own rules at the level of the type of expenses (e.g. only groceries, fuel, office supplies), the time in which it is possible to pay by card (e.g. excluding holidays) or external rules related to the ESG policy. Setting rules and modifying them is quick and easy, available from the company level. 

- Savings are also materialized on the side of processing invoices for business purchases paid for by card. Sparados will automate all manual processes between the employee and the accounting department. Thanks to the OCR module being built into the application and ultimately integration with the most popular accounting systems (the planned function should appear in the second half of 2023), settling invoices will come down to photographing them. The rest will take place automatically at the application level. 

- The platform administrator can generate payment reports on their own. It can be an excellent tool for controlling and analyzing issues related to liquidity and looking for possible savings.

Sparados also gives you the opportunity to create your own image of the card.

And how much does it all cost?

The cost of using Sparados is a fixed, monthly fee and a variable part depending on the number of cards. The monthly cost of using Sparados does not exceed the equivalent of several hours of work of a junior accounting specialist. Compared to the traditional model of purchase invoice workflow, this is a fraction of the cost of work of all people involved.

For the portfolio companies of WP2 Investments, an offer of PLN 3x0 has been prepared. Thanks to it, for the first quarter of using the platform, the monthly subscription was reduced from PLN 100 to PLN 0 (after this period it is PLN 50). The fee for each user has also been abolished.
