An event spring... And what's next and so what?
The spring and summer months in the fund are a time of conferences, events, gaining knowledge and intensive, professional networking.
Back in April, we took part in the InCredibles Summit event, when a representative of WP2 Investments, Aleksander Ferenc, was a member of the jury in the Elevator Pitch panel.
We treat the local Lower Silesian market with equal attention and interest. This is one of the reasons why WP2 Investment's partner, Paweł Florkiewicz, was one of the speakers at StartupWroMeetUp in Wrocław. Barbara Kudryńska represented our fund in the jury of the Evolutions Meetup & Showcase startup competition in Wrocław.
Going beyond Poland, Szymon Górak, responsible for supporting portfolio companies in fundraising in our fund, took part in the VC Central conference, bringing together funds from CEE regions, dedicated to building the VC ecosystem in this part of Europe.
We could not miss the largest events for the fund and startup community, Infoshare in Gdańsk or Carpathian Fest in Rzeszów, where you could clash your thoughts with Ewa Pysiewicz or Aleksander Ferenc.
Participation in the conference is intended to deepen knowledge, familiarize with market trends, look for inspiration and network. It was an opportunity to look at trends on the startup market, original projects that are currently governed by artificial intelligence (of course!:) and to meet interesting people. It is also nice to see our portfolio companies at such conferences not only as participants, but also as speakers. Congratulations to Adam Bartkiewicz of Digital Ocean Ventures for a rousing speach on Infoshare.
We also managed to switch roles for a while and in mid-May at Google for Startups in Warsaw we organized a conference "The Power of Technology" for our portfolio companies. The largest funds and leading Polish startups and many of our business partners met in the room.
We had the pleasure of hosting the greatest specialists in the technology and artificial intelligence industry and using their knowledge and experience of Polish startups that can talk about the global success of their companies, such as Silent Eight and ICEYE.
We devote the summer months to follow-ups, developing ideas and projects that were born during conference networking. We turn them into action and look forward to autumn events.
