WP2 Investments - let's meet - Anna Siwkowska

I would like to share with companies the opportunity to look at their legal affairs with the other eye, and if necessary, to be a link between business and the law, says Ania Siwkowska, another person from our fund - the protagonist of our series "Let's get to know each other". Ania is responsible for the legal area and supports you in this area as part of the ScaleUP Center.

What is the biggest advantage of working in a fund?

I am glad that I have the opportunity to work in such a dynamic place, where every day is different, because it develops a lot. It requires a lot of flexibility, including legal flexibility, but I can never complain about boredom or monotony of my work. The people I work with are a big advantage – every day is full of positive energy and motivation to act.

In which direction does everyday life at WP2 push you in terms of development, what professional areas does it develop in your case, what curiosity does it develop in other directions?

What I like the most professionally, and what I can fulfill myself in the fund, are topics related to renewable energy sources. From the beginning of my professional career, I have worked closely with RES topics, and I am glad that I am turning my knowledge and experience into practice and real projects in the fund. The venture capital market is new to me and this is an area that I will definitely explore.

How can companies benefit from your competences?

I have extensive experience in providing permanent legal services as an in-house lawyer. This allowed me to gain knowledge in many areas of law, common to every business (e.g. in contract or employee topics). I would like to share with companies the opportunity to look at their legal affairs with the other eye and, if necessary, to be a link between business and law. The law changes very often – in this respect, I would like to send you information from time to time about the most important changes and what it means for our companies.

What interesting things do you do outside of work?

I walk a lot in the mountains, the lower and higher ones. I started with trekking in the Karkonosze Mountains and ended up in the Himalayas. Last year I managed to make my big dream come true and do a trek around Annapurna. I'm afraid that I've caught the bug for good and this is just the beginning of my high-altitude adventures. On closer trips, I am accompanied by my dog, who has inexhaustible reserves of energy, which he infects me with every day.

Anna Siwkowska - as a legal advisor, she provides ongoing legal support to the fund, in particular in the field of corporate and contractual matters. For several years, she has been advising on the implementation of investments, in particular investments in the field of renewable energy sources. Author of several books on the environment and RES, including the latest publication of the CH BECK publishing house on the investment and construction process for RES installations.  She has been working for the fund since November 2022.
